Summer Shindig: A Benefit Event

Join us for our annual summer benefit! This year we're throwing an honest-to-goodness shindig. Featuring performances by local and guest musicians, a silent auction of treasures (from local artists and businesses), door prizes, a mac and cheese cook-off and more! It'll be a laid-back afternoon of good times, in support of future programming at the Lounge.

Sunday, August 23rd (2-4pm)

Featuring musical performances by:

• Sheep Shank Magnus: Sheep Shank Magnus plays in the grey sand that lies between the musical genres. Faithful followers, they are. Chasing the next groove. (feat. members of Nubble Gene Baritot, Chris Radey, Christian Eggleston with Jon Ignatowski)

• Isaac Newcomb: Isaac plays with texture and introspection, groove and self-deprecating humor in his unique flavor of alternative pop. His warm vocals nestle into soundscapes that blend synthesized and environmental sounds:

• Special Guest Ali McGuirk: Ali McGuirk delivers a solo set highlighting her trademark soul sound with rootsy turns and raw rock ‘n’ roll detours.

To enter the mac & cheese cook-off: Email info@upperjayartcenter.org to let us know you're bringing it so we can make space, bring at least 8-10 servings of your special mac & cheese, and bring a list of ingredients (for allergy avoidance).
