About the Event
The Burlington based band ROOST is like finding an old pair of rollerblades in the closet... tossing em on and boogyin on downtown to the laundromat, next to the graveyard, to pick up your clothes you forgot the other day. Then on a joyous afternoon ride home you spot Eugene at the 'ole full service gas station and stop to smoke a few smokes and talk about things that just don't matter.
THE MOUNTAIN CAROL Quite possibly the most important band to emerge from the North Country New York music scene, The Mountain Carol broke all preexisting rules of regional success with their atmospheric electro-pop and quickly found themselves at the top of the heap with few true contenders. The Mountain Carol initially took form via two reclusive childhood friends from the backwater town of Saranac, New York. Guitarist Austtin Petrashune returned home from Hong Kong where he had spent years playing the fiddle while, in the middle of the woods down the road, songwriter Charles Wilson had forsaken drums in favor of channeling his imagination through the piano and a broken Casio keyboard. After a fruitful period of personal and musical reconnection, the band found its ideal balance when they reached out to local impresario Matt Hall, a multi-talented Syracuse-cum-Plattsburgh fixture known for his many independent musical releases..
